CHICAGO _ Brett Myers didn't look so tough when, like a kindergartner warily surveying a classroom on the first day of school, he poked his head tentatively out of the visitors' dugout shortly after 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
Out there in the bright Wrigley Field sunshine, the big leagues were waiting for him.
The Phillies' 21-year-old pitching phenomenon twirled a black bat unconsciously in his hands. His blue eyes moved in a slow parabola from the blue-shirted Cubs hitters in the batting cage, to the emerald outfield ivy, to the empty rooftop bleachers across Waveland Avenue.
