PHILADELPHIA _ The 76ers' search for offensive firepower and veteran leadership includes interest in free-agent forwards Chris Gatling and Charles Oakley.
Those names came to light as the Sixers opened their three-day camp for rookies, free agents and selected veterans at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
The level of interest in the veteran forwards remained unclear, but both are clearly on the team's shopping list. The Sixers also are continuing negotiations with Dallas free-agent forward/guard Greg Buckner and are awaiting possible developments with Boston free-agent forward Rodney Rogers.
