Aug. 25--Verizon, the nation's largest publisher of yellow pages, plans to launch new phone directories in Colorado Springs and Denver.
Verizon Information Services, based in Dallas, quietly opened a sales office in Greenwood Village in May and staffed it with 50 people.
The Colorado office is busy selling ads for a new directory that Verizon plans to deliver in Colorado Springs this fall.
Within the next two weeks, the company plans to sell ads for a new metro Denver directory -- scheduled to debut next summer.
