Aug. 25--APPLE MAY RIDE JAGUAR INTO MOBILE COMPUTING: In 10 years of writing this column, your humble correspondent developed what might be deemed a binary bipolar disorder.
Sometimes I'm a Windows weenie. Other times I'm a Macoholic. Sometimes I feel like a Mac. Sometimes I don't.
Today I'm in my Macintosh manic state.
Executives at Apple Computer Inc. knew exactly how to pull my strings to get me here. They shipped me a new 17-inch letterbox display iMac 800 mHz desktop loaded with Jaguar, the latest edition of the Mac OS X operating system.
A lot of my pals in the Macintosh world get a tad steamed ...
