2004 AUG 14 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- QMed, Inc., (NASDAQ:QMED) announced that CHA Health of Kentucky has chosen QMed's diabetes disease management program to manage approximately 5,000 members with this complex condition.
The company already manages Heart Failure, Stroke and Coronary Artery Disease for CHA Health.
Timothy Costich, MD, chief medical officer of CHA Health, said, "Too many Kentuckians and CHA Health members suffer from diabetes together with its chronic and dangerous comorbidities. We have had excellent health and financial outcomes with QMed in managing our members' prevalent and expensive cardiovascular diseases."
