LONDON -- For Joseph Wan, Harvey Nichols isn't just a specialty store; it's a luxury goods brand waiting to happen.

Wan, the group chief executive of the U.K. fashion and luxury retailer, wants to see Harvey Nichols branded ready-to-wear collections on the world's runways, stand-alone stores in places like Bond Street here and major ad campaigns a la Gucci or Louis Vuitton.
