CHICAGO _ For many male athletes and male sports fans, there are few things more offensive than Title IX, the federal legislation that helped establish guidelines for the equitable treatment of women in athletics.
Sunday is the 30th anniversary of its enactment, and it really deserves a better calling card than something as bureaucratic-sounding as "Title IX." "Armageddon" would work for some of the more hysterical among us. "Smackdown" isn't too bad either.
