Aug. 5--TOKYO -- HONDA TO RECALL 1,900 MOTORCYCLES: Honda Motor Co. said Thursday it will recall about 1,900 CBR600RR motorcycles to fix their defective braking system.

The motorcycles subject to the recall were manufactured between June 2003 and July this year, Honda said in a report to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.

The defective material in a part connecting the rear brake pedal and a braking cylinder may make it impossible for the driver to apply the brake to the rear wheel if the part is corroded, Honda said.
