Aug. 6--BUENA PARK, Calif.--Kids can plan on some new attractions at Knott's Berry Farm this spring, but it means they'll say goodbye to some old favorites -- including possibly the petting zoo.
The little circa-1970s barnyard where generations of Orange County children were able to touch a goat's moist black nose or pat a peach-colored sheep is likely the last of its kind at a major amusement park, according to one industry magazine.
But it's a candidate for closure this winter.
Knott's wants to make some changes by May in time for the 20th anniversary of Camp Snoopy, its playground for the pint-sized, spokeswoman Susan Tierney said.
