Jul. 19--Phones were ringing all day at Sapulpa Veterinary Hospital.
Thursday's announcement by the Tulsa City-County confirming the presence of West Nile virus in Oklahoma flooded a local veterinarian's office with phone calls but had little affect on a horse show at Expo Square.
The mosquito-borne virus can be deadly to humans, horses and birds.
A dead crow found last week near 21st Street and Mingo Road tested positive for West Nile virus, officials said.
No other animals or any humans in Oklahoma have been found to have contracted West Nile, and the risk remains low that a human would become ...
