Jul. 21--The top brass may finally have killed the goose that laid the golden egg.
Corporate accounting scandals have focused increased attention on executive compensation at the same time that investors are losing their shirts in the stock market.
John Knapp, president of the Southern Institute for Business and Professional Ethics in Decatur, thinks the result will be scaled-back pay packages for some executives.
