Jul. 15--NEW YORK--In the attached cafe next door, a beat poet is crying out a psalm for her drug-addicted baby brother. Across the street is CBGB, the legendary underground music club that kicked off the careers of Patti Smith and the Talking Heads.
Here on a scrappy stretch of the Bowery, once known as the city's boulevard of lost souls, a new digital video school, screening room, computer retailer and bar is New York's latest high-tech hangout.
