Jul. 2--Security procedures at McCarran International Airport ranked among the nation's worst in undercover tests conducted by federal agents last month, and some travel industry experts believe that could spell trouble for Southern Nevada's tourism-dependent economy.
"Anything that affects consumer confidence in flying, be it fear of terrorism or fear of security, is going to hurt Las Vegas," said Michael Boyd, president of the Boyd Group, a Colorado-based aviation consulting firm.
