Jun. 16--QUESTION: I wanted an '02 Lexus ES300 with traction and vehicle skid control but not the navigation system. The saleswoman said Lexus decreed that traction/skid control on all cars coming into the dealership would be delivered only with the navigation system, too. Does holding the two safety features hostage to a $3,000 navigation system seem
plausible? I can order a car exactly as I want--if willing to wait a few months for delivery.
Also, I wanted the Black Onyx exterior, but the saleswoman says it is the only Lexus color without a clearcoat and, though she couldn't explain why, said the car would require extra ...
