DAILY Post columnist Emyr Williams was invested into the Gorsedd of Bards at the National Eisteddfod at Newport yesterday.
Mr Williams received the White Robe for writing about eisteddfodau. He will be known in Gorsedd circles as Emyr o'r Morfa.
Other well-known personalities inducted into the Gorsedd included television actress Tara Bethan Williams; the Archbishop of Wales, Rev Barry Morgan; Merfyn Jones, the new vice-chancellor of Bangor University and John Walter Jones, former chief executive of the Welsh Language Board.
