Greek Gods And Goddesses: Jason And The Argonauts (BBC1); Kingdom Hospital (BBC2)
JONATHAN Edwards, Olympic gold medallist at Sydney and world record holder in what I still think of as the hop-skip-andjump, performed with less facility last night in trying to interpret - in fact, to bowdlerise - the myth of Jason and the Argonauts.
The only reason, presumably, why the BBC asked Jonathan to unlock the mysteries of Ancient Greece at this particular moment is the imminent start of the Olympic Games. He will be in the serried ranks of BBC commentators in Athens.
