Jun. 8--The tourism industry has bounced back in Las Vegas, but not at the upscale level that casino executives would like to see.

Strip hotels reported 92.6 percent occupancy in April, 2.6 percentage points below the same month a year ago, albeit at discounted room prices.

For the first four months, gaming revenue in Clark County is down from 3.8 percent a year ago and airline passenger traffic at McCarran International Airport is off nearly 8 percent.
