Landscapers Stake Out Their Turf in Atlanta.

Jun. 10--Georgia's green industry employs tens of thousands, generates billions in sales and keeps Atlanta looking lush and lovely.

Statewide, sales from all levels of the business total about $5.7 billion a year, said Sherry Loudermilk, executive director of the Georgia Green Industry Association and the Georgia Turfgrass Association. The metro area is a green industry hothouse because of its rate of homeownership and long growing season.
