Article: Colorado-Based Rocky Mountain HMO Gets New Name, Plans to Grow.

Jun. 11--Rocky Mountain HMO, the non-profit organization that in 1974 launched one of Colorado's first HMOs, plans a major expansion of products and membership during 2002, said new chief executive officer John Hopkins.

The Grand Junction-based managed-care company also unveiled a new name Monday -- Rocky Mountain Health Plans -- and launched a line of new products aimed at small and midsize businesses looking for affordable prices and more flexible health benefits.

Starting July 1, Rocky Mountain will offer several preferred-provider organization plans and exclusive-provider organization plans.
