Aug. 9--A prescription drug plan passed by the U.S. House was done so only so representatives could tell constituents they took action on an important topic.
At least that's the contention of U.S. Sen. Tim Johnson, D-S.D., who visited Aberdeen Thursday to address senior citizens about what Senate Democrats think is a vastly better plan.
Johnson and Rep. John Thune, R-S.D., are engaged in a hotly contested battle for Johnson's Senate seat. The race could determine which party controls the Senate next year.
