Jun. 12--QUESTION: I worked out of my Florida home for a California company until February, when I was terminated.

The company was in financial difficulty, and it had been paying its employees at 50 percent of their regular pay since October 2001.

When I was released, I was told I would receive $7,200 in back pay, but not until the company received "adequate funding." I have since found out that some of my fellow workers at the company who stayed on have received their back pay.

I requested the same treatment, but I was told that only the remaining active employees would receive any of the limited funds at this ...
