JAKARTA, Aug 10 Asia Pulse - Resettlement and Regional Infrastructures Minister Soenarno has confirmed that a Chinese state-owned firm is interested in investing in the Jatigede dam project in Sumedang, West Java, because the offered investing mechanism is attractive.

"The government has a plan to combine investment through the building of the hydropower plant and private loan in operating the dam," Sonarno told reporters.

The government expected to gain revenue by operating the plant, he added.
