Style doesn't stop at the back door.
Outdoor furniture has taken a fashion leap forward from folding lawn chairs and redwood picnic tables. Homeowners are furnishing their decks and patios with pieces that complement their indoor designs, whether it's sleek contemporary or ornate Victorian.
"I think what's happening now is the manufacturers are designing outdoor furniture so it can be an extension of your indoor space," said Jackie Hirschhaut, vice president of public relations for the American Furniture Manufacturers Association. "The furniture is much more sophisticated."
