A scene at the Masters showed how much viewers miss Peter Kessler on The Golf Channel.
While he waited to meet friends by the first tee, a parade of fans approached him, asking what had happened and why couldn't he come back?
"It was so overwhelming," Kessler said. "I got so filled up with tears, I had to leave."
Kessler, 50, has been on the sidelines since last December. Even though he still appears occasionally in reruns, executives at the Orlando, Fla.-based network declared his tenure done, preferring to pay him the last year of his contract to do nothing.
