DALLAS _ There's no truth to the rumor that Joe Smith has been abducted by aliens and all the aliens left behind was an empty shell that resembles Joe's body. You certainly could buy into the rumor if you watched Joe Smith play basketball recently. Of course, you would have to be paying close attention or you might miss him. Lately, he and his game have been tough to find.
"I'm still here," Smith said Tuesday.
He laughed when he said it, further dispelling the alien abduction rumor. Would an empty shell laugh?
"Hopefully, things will go right (Wednesday night) and I'll show that I'm still here," Smith said.
