ATLANTA _ As much as blown saves hurt, the Diamondbacks' first of the season stung a little more than usual.
After Arizona clawed Wednesday to get Todd Stottlemyre a lead Wednesday, the bullpen could not hold on. The Atlanta Braves scored twice in the eighth inning for a 4-3 victory and ended the D-Backs' seven-game winning streak at Turner Field.
It has been 592 days since Stottlemyre was a winning pitcher, on Sept. 9, 2000, at Florida.
