One of the most versatile ingredients of Asian cooking is the rice paper wrapper, good for dishes ranging from spring rolls to dumplings to wontons. Today we make easy and knockout Shrimp, Green Onion and Ginger Spring Rolls.
What are rice paper wrappers made from? A simple combination of rice flour, sometimes egg, water and salt is prepared into a tight dough, then rolled paper thin to encase an infinite combination of taste sensations.
Why do they taste so good? The simple rice dough is rolled so thin you can see through it. When it's this thin, it allows the filling to heat and cook while capturing the wonderful flavors ...
