May 19--William Bud Jarvis drank up the sun last week, sitting in the driveway of his home in Kings Gate, one of the hottest spots for development in Charlotte County.
The 88-year-old migrated from Cincinnati, Ohio, two years ago to settle in Kings Gate, a 55-and-older, gated residential community that has sprung up on Kings Highway. All around Jarvis' home, other new homes are in various stages of completion.
Jarvis, who suffers from lung ailments, said he found Kings Gate and Charlotte County on the Internet. According to the Web sites he explored, Charlotte had the doctors he wanted, and Kings Gate had the lifestyle he ...
