May 26--After a dark and stormy 2001 season, this summer's pop music concert climate now looks surprisingly bright and sunny, experts say.

"We're looking at a normal concert season -- maybe better than it should be, given the state of the economy," said Gary Bongiovanni, editor of the live music trade magazine Pollstar. "And a normal season means there will be more shows on the road than any market in the country can support. Certainly a wealth of concerts will be heading for places like Hampton Roads."
