May 15--LODI, Calif.--Downtown Lodi is approaching a second phase in its revitalization that will lead to greater prosperity, downtown business leaders told the City Council during a study session Tuesday morning.
And a little more help from the city's general fund wouldn't hurt.
The Downtown Lodi Business Partnership was budgeted to receive $47,000 in fiscal 2001-02, but it wants the city to contribute more than $100,000 in the 12 months beginning July 1. Funds would go toward downtown decorations, promotions and offsetting operations costs.
