May 18--SHOP OPENING: Shafter Everlasting Invitations & Gift Shop opened this week in Shafter at 435 Central Valley Highway.
The store sells various invitations, accessories and gifts and co-owner Anita Aldaco is attempting to put together an association of businesses to serve people planning quinceaneras, rite-of-passage parties thrown for 15-year-old girls.
The businesses, Aldaco said, will be compiled in a bilingual guide book, which should be finished this year. Hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
