To the Editor:
Since I was a charter member, I remember that the reason the Conservative Party of New York was formed back in the 1960s was because the Republican Party under the leadership of Nelson Rockefeller had taken a hard left turn. Now we have another Republican governor who is apparently imitating Rocky. Maybe he wants to go to Washington, too.
Mike Long, the chairman of the state Conservative Party, decided that enough is enough and withdrew support for some members of the Senate leadership. Now there is talk about changing the method of ballot counting in New York state to preclude adding votes on minority party lines to those on the ...
