Aug. 11--Rivals Cox Communications and Dish Network announced improvements to their services Tuesday that will intensify the battle for consumers in Hampton Roads.
Hampton Roads finally will end its eight-month run as Dish Network's largest satellite television market without local channels. And Cox delivered a welcome surprise to its customers Tuesday by making its high-speed Internet service one-third faster with no extra charge.
