May 17--TWIN FALLS, Idaho--Building contractors and do-it-yourself homeowners had seen Anderson Lumber's Twin Falls retail operation shrink in recent months. Thursday, they found the doors closed.
The Ogden, Utah-based subsidiary of Carolina Holdings Inc. cited competition in the Twin Falls market and a corporate shift away from retailing as reasons for closing the large store on Eastland Drive.
Most of the 20 employees remaining at the store will lose their jobs in the next two to four weeks. The building is for sale. The store already ran a liquidation sale, and the company's other operations will absorb the ...
