Aug. 9--Retail photo developers are beginning to recapture the sales they lost with the dawn of the digital camera age a decade ago, according to recent surveys by market researchers.
But, it's been a slow development.
The advent of the digital camera in the mid-1990s gave technologically adept photographers an easy way to take, manipulate and store photos, but most consumers remained in the dark about the digital gadget until fairly recently.
For the 12 months ending in June, about 12.3 million digital cameras were sold in photo specialty stores, computer and office superstores, electronics stores, mass ...
