DUNEDIN, FLA. _ Never mind that Ellis Burks has tree trunks for arms and shoulders wide enough to build a four-lane highway.
"To me, the important thing is your mental state," Burks said. "Once you have the right mind-set, the body will follow."
What does all this have to do with keeping a job in the big leagues for 15 seasons? Plenty, according to the Indians' designated hitter.
"It's the long grind," Burks said. "It's being out there every day."
