Apr. 19--Sara Lee's proposed move to consolidate its Triad branded apparel offices to Winston-Salem received a boost Monday night.
The Winston-Salem Board of Aldermen voted 7-1 to approve offering Sara Lee $500,000 in financial assistance for a proposed $35 million Oak Summit business park expansion.
Under the package, Sara Lee would receive $100,000 a year for five years after the expansion is completed.
Sara Lee is looking to obtain a similar incentive package from the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners.
