Apr. 11--Streams across the country are laced with prescription and over-the-counter drugs, and researchers Wednesday called for further study to see whether the contaminants pose a risk to wildlife or people through drinking supplies.
Common drugs -- from heart medications and anti-depressants to ibuprofen and diabetes drugs -- are chemicals that warrant a closer look, according to a team of researchers from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.
