Article: All-new Mazda 3 model launched.(Business)

Mazda Philippines yesterday launched its flagship vehicle, Mazda 3, in a move to position the company as a strong contender in the domestic compact car market and as an exporter of this model to ASEAN countries.

David Macasadia, company managing director, said these goals are part of the $50 million additional investments committed by its parent firm last year.

Macasadia said the company hopes to sell 1,200 units for Mazda 3 for the remainder of the year. For next year, the company hopes to sell 3,600 units for their three vehicle models (Mazda 6, Tribute and Protege) from 1,600 sales target this year.
