Maurice Greene was driving south on the 405 Freeway, before the 118 intersection, on his way to practice. He was on a 600-cc Suzuki motorcycle for obvious reasons.
``I like speed,'' Greene said.
Speed is what Greene has always been about. Speed is what drives him. What's made him.
Yet for the reigning Olympic 100 gold medalist there was no speed to be found on the 405 that January day two years ago, when still the fastest man in the world, but only choking Valley traffic.
