It's time to have a taste of Greek-inspired food as NBC Universal begins its marathon coverage of the Olympic Games in Athens, Greece, with opening ceremonies on Friday. More than 1,200 hours of the competition will be broadcast on NBC and its cable affiliates, including Bravo, CNBC, MSNBC and USA Network. This will amount to coverage of every event, more than ever before. Through the end of August, athletes from 138 countries will compete in the same Mediterranean country where the games began more than 2,700 years ago.
As in so many sun-soaked countries by the sea, Greeks don't eat to live; they live to eat.
