Irwin one victory from CGA crown, faces Baird today
Steve Irwin of Omni Interlocken Resort will face Michael Baird of Plum Creek Golf & Country Club in today's 36-hole final of the 104th Colorado Golf Association State Amateur Match Play Championship at Riverdale Dunes Golf Course.
Irwin gained his finals spot by beating Colorado State graduate James Kurtenbach 3 and 1 in Thursday's semifinals. Earlier, Irwin beat Aaron Weston of Meridian Golf Course 1-up in the quarterfinals.
