Q. I am enclosing pictures of a children's book I acquired in the late 1980s. I was told that the book would be worth more if I took it apart and sold the prints separately, but I have no intention of dismantling this treasure. What is its value?

A. Your book is "The Knave of Hearts" by Louise Saunders. It was first published in 1925, although you have a slightly later printing. No matter. It is still worth a lot, because it was illustrated by the American artist Maxfield Parrish.
