To avoid citrus confusion, here's a rundown on a few:
BLOOD ORANGE
Imagine, oranges that aren't orange. Their flesh is a shocking purplish-red. OK, blood-red.
Aggressive? No, they're sweet, with an irresistible raspberry-like flavor. More glory than gory.
Smaller-than-average oranges, they're seedless, or in some cases, almost seedless. These stunners provide color drama and flavor drama, too. They can be eaten out of hand, turned into marmalade or squeezed into fabulous wake-up-red juice. Try them in cocktails, such as mimosas (sparkling wine, such as champagne, mixed with blood orange juice) or red-hued ...
