DETROIT _ A Michigan businessman and community leader has been chosen as the first Arab-American liaison to the Arab League, a leading political organization in the Middle East.
In the newly created position, Nasser M. Beydoun, executive director of the American Arab Chamber of Commerce, will help establish better communication between the Arab world and the United States.
Beydoun, 37, met Tuesday in Washington with Amr Moussa, secretary general of the Arab League.
