On a Sunday night last month, a cartoon character in a popular prime-time television sitcom, distraught over changes at the Protestant church where her family worships every week, decided to convert to Buddhism. The episode was appropriately titled: "She of Little Faith."
At the same time this episode of ``The Simpsons'' aired, on another network, ``Touched by an Angel'' dramatized the story of a woman who lost a friend in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. Paralyzed with fear and anxiety, an angel came to her with the assurance that God would be with her always.
