LAS VEGAS--Although MAGIC was definitely a buying show, it was felt by many retailers and exhibitors that the show lacked fashion direction and excitement.
The show, which closed Sunday at the Las Vegas Convention Center, was well attended and big. There's no question that MAGIC has become the American trade show for men's wear.
Instead of chasing goods for the current retail season, as was the case in past shows, retailers were looking and leaving paper for fall '92 goods.
