Feb. 11--Mount Pleasant can be a model for other fast-growing East Coast communities when it comes to economic development.
So says Myles Stempin, economic development coordinator for the town.
"Economic development is easy when you don't have the growth that this community has," he said.
Attracting and retaining businesses that don't necessarily have to be there is the key for economic development in Mount Pleasant, Stempin said.
