Feb. 7--Jim Buennagel leans over a bench in his lab at Transportation Safety Technologies and explains the intricate maze of little black boxes and wires he has stretched carefully along its length.
This, he says, is Eagle Eye -- an ultrasonic sensor system that the Near-Eastside company, better known as TST, has developed to give truck drivers a glimpse of the potentially deadly hazards that could be lurking in the blind spots around their rigs.
Now he's about to put it through its paces.
