Aug. 13--The Salesmanship Club of Dallas, sponsor of the EDS Byron Nelson Championship, announced Thursday that this year's tournament raised more than $6 million for charity.
The $6.09 million total marked only the third time the Championship raised more than $6 million since 1973. In its 31 years, the tournament has raised more than $81 million for charity, including at least $5 million annually the past six years.
